Steps follows a fascination with ageing and the courage of old people who, still on their feet, move amongst us almost invisibly. The embroidery takes phrases from Octavio Paz’s ‘Sunstone’ cycle of poetry, rendered in red silk letters on darned linen fabric the size of a postcard.
